We’re looking for an experienced B2B marketing and comms leader to help drive Gloat’s corporate and brand marketing efforts. In this role, you will help establish Gloat’s market positioning and own the communications plan that elevates Gloat’s market presence in key strategic channels. You will also be the keeper of the Gloat brand and voice, working with internal and external parties alike to ensure Gloat’s voice and story are coming through consistently and in the most high-impact way. 

 

To succeed, you will bring expertise managing PR, Media, Analyst, and Influencer Relations, an exceptional ability to craft moving and resonant messaging for large enterprise decision-makers, and a strong acumen for brand positioning that cuts through. This will be a high-visibility, high-impact role working cross-functionally across our global team, including our executive team up to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Gloat’s Comms Strategy – You will help set the strategy and oversee execution of a communication plan for Gloat that drives awareness for our brand and elevates our place in the category with top-tier publications as well as a steady drumbeat with the HR trades.
  • Manage our PR Agency & Campaigns – You will serve as day-to-day relationship manager for our PR agency, strategizing initiatives and storylines for them to pitch, supporting narrative creation, and ensuring the right targeting of our pitches. This will have a global remit and may include onboarding additional partners and agencies in various regions as needs arise.
  • Drive the Strategic Narrative – You will be the keeper of the strategic narrative for Gloat that is going out to the market. In close collaboration with the broader marketing team, product marketing, and company leadership, you will help refine the messaging strategy for the company and ensure it is consistently being used across stakeholders and channels. 
  • Lead Executive & Brand Thought Leadership – Lead the development of thought leadership and other corporate presentations, including executive comms for Gloat’s CEO and leadership team.
  • Lead our Awards Program efforts – You will be the owner of Gloat’s awards strategy, deciding where we want to focus our efforts and managing our submission.
  • Support Gloat Community & Influencer Efforts – In close collaboration with the Director of Content, Social Media & Community Manager, and our Customer Success teams, you will help build out and maintain Gloat’s community of influencers, thought leaders, customers, and advocates as we bring their voices to life through our comms and PR efforts.
  • Support our Analyst Relations – Support the broader marketing team, Partnerships and Product Marketing in our Analyst Relations efforts, managing the Gloat positioning with partners like Gartner, Forrester, and others.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in comms with B2B / Enterprise SaaS (ideally in-house, but agency experience is welcome) and/or corporate marketing 
  • Experience working with comms teams at large, multinational enterprise customers, particularly in managing comms and PR efforts, case study approvals, etc
  • Experience with PR and Media Relations a must, particularly managing PR agency partners
  • Experience with Analyst Relations and partners like Gartner, Forrester, IDC a plus
  • Experience with HR and Talent Buyers a plus
  • Global experience managing international partners and initiatives, both internally and externally
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, including a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias towards action
  • An ownership and builder mindset, with a desire to make real impact quickly and to build the function from the ground up
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
