Gloat, an innovative, fast-growing startup in the HR tech field, is looking for an experienced technical writer with a solid background in SaaS and B2B products to join the UX writing team. 

We launched the world’s first Talent Marketplace in 2018 and have since grown exponentially year after year. We help large companies such as Uniliver, Schneider, Mastercard, Nestlé, Walmart, HSBC, and dozens more to drive workforce agility, while empowering their employees to unlock opportunities for career development and take control of their careers.

As the 1st technical writer at Gloat, you’ll define the strategy and roadmap for this role, and build the infrastructure for documentation architecture, workflows, and processes. You’ll work closely with the R&D, Product, UX, and CS teams to turn business needs into helpful documentation that empowers our customers, users, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

 

  • Develop and write product documentation, release notes, user guides, help center articles, and API documentation
  • Translate complex information into easy-to-understand, concise, and accurate content 
  • Ensure consistent use of language and cohesive voice across all Gloat’s technical communication assets 
  • Define and own the end to end workflow and experience for our APIs and partner integration portal 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to support implementation, training, and enablement processes with best-in-class technical documentation and training materials
  • Write articles for our Help Center including how-to’s, tutorials, and best practices
  • Learn content design techniques to write UX copy that engages our users and supports the Growth team. 

Requirements

What you bring 

 

  • 3+ years of experience working as a technical writer for SaaS platforms and B2B products
  • 2+ years of experience in API documentation
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills–native-level is a must
  • You have a way with words, and you know how to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately
  • A portfolio showcasing your work and talent
  • Nice to have: familiarity with UX principles and content design
