NEW YORK – July 14, 2021Gloat, pioneers of the Talent Marketplace platform that is reinventing work and careers in global enterprises, today announced the appointment of Jeff Schwartz as VP of Insights and Impact. In this role, Schwartz will apply his extensive industry experience to help shape Gloat’s product strategy moving forward, working closely with company leadership, customers and internal teams to drive the growth and expansion of the company’s Talent Marketplace platform.

This strategic hire comes at a time when the need to embrace new ways of working and orchestrating workforces has become clearer than ever before, and represents a perfect match of vision and impact: Schwartz has spent decades researching, developing, and advocating for a vision of the future of work that Gloat aims to make a reality for companies around the world.

“Jeff is an incredible subject matter expert and innovator who has had a front-row seat to the changes that have transformed and shaped the modern workplace. In many ways, Jeff pioneered this market right alongside us; we both saw the need to unleash market dynamics within organizations to meet the challenges of the future of work,” said Gloat CEO and Co-Founder Ben Reuveni. “We are so excited to combine forces and increase and accelerate the incredible impact of Jeff‘s work transforming organizations. We know our customers will benefit from the support of an expert who has decades-long experience advising industry leaders on innovative ways to solve their most complex challenges.”

Prior to joining Gloat, Schwartz was a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP for 20 years, most recently as the U.S. Leader for the future of work and as a senior partner in the firm’s Global Human Capital executive since 2003.  His leadership roles have included global and U.S. marketing, eminence, and brand, leading the organization, change, and talent practices, and growing the firm’s global delivery capabilities in India. Schwartz also has been a leading innovator and was the founding editor and a principal author of Deloitte’s global human capital trends report since 2011 and the co-founder of Catalyst Tel Aviv, the firm’s first global innovation tech hub. It was in Tel Aviv in 2016 that Schwartz first met the founders of Gloat while researching one of the first future of work start-up landscape surveys.

The challenges facing organizations today are timely, urgent and complex. Business leaders must find new ways to manage hybrid work models, unleash diversity, equity and inclusion for all employees, and most importantly, understand the needs of talent and provide every individual with the opportunity to experience choice and growth across an organization. In his work with Gloat, Schwartz is most excited by the opportunity to have a direct impact on how organizations tackle these challenges.

“During the pandemic and the economic and social crises of the past 16 months, we all saw firsthand the amazing potential, resilience and adaptability of workers everywhere. We need to build on this to advance new mindsets, mental models and strategies to navigate 21st century work and careers — and one of the single most important and high-impact investments companies can make now to address this need is in talent marketplaces,” said Schwartz. “I am thrilled to join Gloat as the pioneer and global leader in this space, and truly excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

A renowned subject matter expert on work and workforce transformation, Schwartz published his first book on the topic – WORK DISRUPTED: Opportunity, Resilience, and Growth in the Accelerated Future of Work – in January. He has lived in and led consulting practices in the U.S., India, Israel,Belgium, Russia and Kenya. Schwartz has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and an MPA from Princeton’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. He is an adjunct professor and visiting lecturer at Columbia’s Graduate School of Business and Cornell Tech’s MBA program.
