Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of passionate, talented engineers.
- Lead the development of a business-critical system using modern web technologies.
- Advancing Gloat’s technology by building a scalable micro services architecture.
- Collaborate on roadmaps with Product Managers, Architects and Tech Lead to ensure the team has clear direction and priorities.
- Work closely with Gloat customer success organization to enable fast and seamless onboarding.
- Manage employee career development by providing coaching and mentoring, continuous performance feedback, collaborate with employees on their objectives and provide a clear path for progression through personal development plans.
- Continuously learn and improve your professional and managerial skills.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and improve performance, quality and usability
- Adapt and solve problems as they arise.
Requirements
- Quick learner, a team player, independent, imaginative and motivated individual with a passion to learn!
- 5+ years developing SaaS backend & web applications
- 2+ years leading and mentoring a development team
- Excellent understanding of databases, modeling and querying.
- Experienced in planning and execution of complex projects in an agile environment
- Working in a fast changing organization or growing startup – Advantage
